Indonesian Town Gets a Digital Boost: PLN Icon Plus Brings Free Wi-Fi to Arjawinangun

Indonesia's PLN Icon Plus, a state-owned electricity provider, is bridging the digital divide in Arjawinangun, Cirebon Regency, with free Wi-Fi.

This initiative, part of their commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles and digital transformation, aims to educate and empower the community.

Residents now have free access to ICONNET internet services at the Al Mukmin Mosque, sparking excitement and opportunity.

"We hope this benefits the community and enhances mosque activities," says Asep Budi Setiawan, a regional manager for PLN Icon Plus. He further expressed plans to expand the service, reflecting the company's goal of wider internet access across West Java.

Echoing the positive response, Santoso Wijaya, Deputy Head of the mosque's management committee, highlighted the benefits: "This isn't just for residents, but also worshippers, students, and even the mosque itself for security and activities."

PLN Icon Plus presents free ICONNET internet services for the people of Arjawinangun, Cirebon Regency. This free internet facility assistance is a form of the company's ESG commitment as well as digital transformation to educate the community.

The free internet facilities provided at the Al Mukmin Arjawinangun Mosque can be utilized by the entire Arjawinangun community. This is of course welcomed by the enthusiasm of the community who can access ICONNET internet services.
